MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT, INFRASTRUCTURE, HOUSING, URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND PUBLIC WORKS TENDER OCTOBER 2021 

INVITATION FOR QUOTATIONS 

1. The Kenyan Government has received financing from the World Bank towards the implementation of the Horn of Africa Gateway Development Project (HOAGDP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for payment under the contract for the following:

2. The State Department of Infrastructure (Roads Division), now invites sealed quotations from eligible bidders for the Goods.
3. Bidding will be conducted through Request for Quotation (RFQ) for goods as specified in the World Bank’s “Pro­curement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” of July, 2016 (Procurement Regulations), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Request for Quotation document on the Ministry’s website www.transport.go.ke under the resources menu, and/or the public procurement information portal ppip@ppra.go.ke and the GOK tenders portal www.tender.go.ke or visit the Supply Chain Management Office, Works Building, Ground Floor, Ngong Road, Room No.48, Nairobi during normal office working hours (0900 to 1700 hours EAT). Those who download the document should immediately send their particulars to Sup­ply Chain Management Office at room 48 on ground floor, Public Works Building for purposes of registration and receipt of any further clarifications and addendums.
5. A hard copy of the Request for Quotations document in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon payment of non-refundable fee of Ksh. 1,000.00 at the cash office, ground floor, Works Building, Nairobi in cash or Banker’s cheque payable to “The Principal Secretary, State Department of Infrastructure” during official working hours or downloaded free of charge from the websites given above.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10.00 am local time on 9^th November, 2021. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the Bidders and/or designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the 9th floor boardroom, Works Building, Ngong Road.
7. All bids must be accompanied with a Bid security of 2% of the quotation sum in form of a bank guarantee or a bank draft issued by a reputable bank located in Kenya, or Insurance firm approved by Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) in the amount specified in the bid document for each tender.
