EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES – KeNHA SEPTEMBER 2021 

KENYA NATIONAL HIGHWAYS AUTHORITY TENDER SEPTEMBER 2021 

THE REPUBLIC OF KENYA REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES

1. The Government of the Republic of Kenya has applied for financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) to finance the El Wak – Rhamu Road (A13) Upgrading Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for this loan to make eligible payments under the contract for the (i) Consultancy Services for Construction Supervision of LOT 1: Upgrading of El Wak – Gari (A13) Road (74 Km), (ii) Consultancy Services for Construction Super­vision of LOT 2: Upgrading of Gari -Rhamu (A13) Road (68 Km).
2. The services included under both projects are for Construction Supervision of the roads and the social-economic infrastructure. The services will comprise each of a total of 48 Months with 36 months of construction supervision and 12 months Defects Notification period.
3. The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), being the implementing agency of the Government of the Repub­lic of Kenya now invites eligible consulting firms to indicate their interests in providing the above services.
4. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, in similar conditions and availability of the appropriate skills among staff, etc). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualifications.
5. Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations”-August, 2015, which is avail­able on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org. Borrowers are under no obligation to shortlist any consultant who expresses interest.
6. The Expression of Interest enclosed in plain Packages and clearly marked with the Tender Number and description, sealed and transmitted by courier or delivered by hand to the Address below or deposited at the Authority’s Tender Box Located at Block C, 2nd Floor, Barabara Complex so at to be received on or before 21^st September 2021 at 1100Hrs local time.

7. The disbursements in respect to any Contract signed shall be subject to approval of the financing from the Bank.

10. Interested consultants may submit their proposal and clearly indicate the LOT (S) they are applying for, either LOT 1 or LOT 2 or BOTH.
