EXTENSION OF THE WAIVER OF ACCREDITATION FEES FOR SKILLED
CONSTRUCTION WORKERS AND CONSTRUCTION SITE SUPERVISORS
The National Construction Authority is a State Corporation established by Section 3(1)
of the National Construction Authority Act No. 41 of 2011 with a mandate to oversee
the construction industry and coordinate its development.
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 5(2)(l) of the Act as read together with Regulation
19 of the National Construction Authority Regulations 2014, the Authority is required
to accredit and certify skilled construction workers and construction site supervisors.
In view of the above, the Authority wishes to inform all contractors, developers,
procuring entities and the general public that all skilled construction workers and
construction site supervisors engaged to undertake any construction works for and/or
on their behalf MUST be accredited by the Authority in any of the five classes of
construction works.
The Authority further wishes to inform all skilled construction workers and site
supervisors that the waiver of accreditation fees has been extended up to 30th June
2024. Accreditation services are offered at all NCA offices and Huduma Centers
countrywide. Applicants can also submit their applications through their respective
accounts on the accreditation’s portal (https://nca.go.ke/?page_id=2631) via the
Authority’s website, www.nca.go.ke
