PROCUREMENT OF ECHO SOUNDER

FAO – Kenya hereby invites your company to urgently submit a quotation:

2024/496 Echo Sounder FAO Representation in Kenya Block I, Level 2 United Nations Complex UN Avenue, Gigiri, Nairobi.

In preparing your quotation, you should take into account the international status and activities of FAO by submitting your best commercial terms. You should also be aware that FAO enjoys certain privileges and immunities which include exemption from payment of Value Added Tax (“VAT”), customs duties and importation restrictions.

Your quotation shall be based on the following requirements:

  1. Full name, address, fax and telephone numbers of your company and contact persons.
  2. Acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions Applicable to FAO Procurement Contracts, attached hereto as Appendix  3, including the local payment terms of FAO Representation in Kenya including payments by cheque or bank transfer within 30 days from the receipt of your invoice and a statement from the consignee(s) acknowledging receipt of the goods or services. Letters of credit and advance payments cannot be accepted.
  3. Prices including unit prices, freight charges and insurance to the specified final destination should be quoted on DAT basis in accordance with Incoterms 2010, exclusive of any taxes. Bidders should quote their prices as specified above using Appendix 2, price schedule, attached hereto
  4. Goods are required urgently therefore please quote your best delivery terms in days after receipt on an eventual purchase order.
  5. Validity: Quotations must remain valid with firm and fixed prices for 30 days after the Closing Date.
  6. Closing Date: Quotations shall be sent to email address FAOKE-Tender-Box@Fao.org  not later than 12.00hrs Nairobi time on, 5th  November 2024. Bidder Protests: Fairness and transparency are fundamental principles for FAO procurement activities. Bidders that believe that the procurement process was not fair and transparent may request feedback from the office that issued the tender. If a satisfactory response is not received, the bidder may present a protest following the instructions detailed in the following link: http://www.fao.org/unfao/procurement/codedeconduitethique/protests/en/ . To report allegations of fraud or misconduct in the procurement process, bidders may submit information, also anonymously, to the Office of the Inspector General Hotline: http://www.fao.org/aud/69204/en/ .
