IMPROVING PUBLIC HEALTH AND ENHANCING TECHNICAL SKILLS OF YOUTH IN KENYA THROUGH SANITATION TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER

MINISTRY OF WATER, SANITATION AND IRRIGATION TENDER OCTOBER 2024 

INVITATION FOR BIDS

1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared on Tues- day 29th November,2024

2. The Government of Kenya has received financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Improving Public Health and Enhancing Technical Skills of Youth in Kenya through San- itation Technology It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for supply and delivery of 2 no. trucks one for KEWI Chiakariga Campus in Tharaka Nithi County and the other one for Ololiser Water and sewerage Company in Kajiado County. 

3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the office of The Director, Kenya Water Institute (KEWI), Nairobi south C along Oleshapara P.O. Box 60013-00200 Nairobi, Kenya, during office hours (8.00am to 5.00pm East African Time) on week days except public holidays.

4. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a writ- ten application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1,000 (Kenya Shillings One Thousand Only). The bidding documents may also be downloaded from the KEWI website: kewi.go.ke or www.tenders.go.ke free of charge. Bidders who download the bidding documents from the website MUST forward their particulars immediately to procurement@kewi.or.ke for records and any further clarifi- cations and addenda.

5. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document: Procurement of of Goods.

6. Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 10.00am East African Time on Wednesday 13thNovember, 2024 and must be accompanied by a Bid security (Unconditional Bank Guarantee) of 140,000.00 (One hundred and forty thousand Kenya Shillings Only). 

7. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 10.05am East African Time on Wednesday 13thNovember, 2024 at the offices of:
