INVITATION TO TENDER

The Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development and Public Works (State Department of Infrastructure) invites sealed tenders for the following construction works:

Tendering will be conducted under open competitive method (National) using the standard tender docu­ment. Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.

Qualified and interested tenderers registered by the National Construction Authority in category NCA4 and above may obtain further information and inspect the Tender documents during office hours (0800 to 1200 and 1400 to 1700) at the address given below.

Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website http://www.transport. go.ke or from the Public Procurement Information Portal https://tenders.go.ke. Tenderers who down­load the tender document must forward their particulars immediately to scms@infrastructure.go.ke to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.

Tenders shall be quoted in Kenya Shillings and shall include all taxes. Tenders shall remain valid for 120 days from the date of opening of tenders.

All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender security specified in the table above in form of Bank Guaran­tee from a reputable bank in Kenya or Insurance bond from an Insurance Company approved by the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA).

The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.

Completed tenders must be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with the respective Tender number and description and deposited in the Tender Box at Ground Floor, Public Works Building opposite Room No. 48 or to be addressed to:

P.O. Box 30260 – 00100, Nairobi.

so as to be received on or before 10.00 am on Wednesday 4th  May, 2022.

Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at 9th floor Boardroom, Works Building, 1st Ngong Avenue, Nairobi.

Tenders submitted late will be rejected.
