INVITATION TO TENDER |
Kenya Forest Service [KFS] is a corporate body established under the Forest Conservation and Management Act No. 34 of 2016. The mandate of the Service is “to provide for the development and sustainable management, including conservation and rational utilization of all forest resources for the socio-economic development of the Country and for connected purposes.”
Kenya Forest Service now invites interested and eligible Forest Industry Investors to submit bids for sale of forest materials as follows;

The tender documents can be downloaded from the KFS website www.kenyaforestservice.org or from the public procurement tender portal; tenders.go.ke free of charge. Interested applicants can seek clarification through the email procurement@forestservice.org. During the period of tendering; interested applicants are expected to regularly visit the KFS website www.kenyaforestservice.org under “tenders tab” for any tender clarifications or addendums.
Completed tender documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, marked with the relevant tender number and name [as indicated above) and be deposited in the Tender Box at Kenya Forest Service Headquarters, Reception area or to be addressed to the Chief Conservator of Forests, Kenya Forest Service P.O. Box 30513-00100 Nairobi so as to be received on or before the indicated closing date and time.
Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the candidates’ representatives who choose to attend the opening at Kenya Forest Service Headquarters boardroom located in Karura, off Kiambu road. All bid documents must be serialized and properly bound.
In line with the Ministry of Health Guidelines, COVID-19 protocols will be observed during the tender opening.
N/B. All forest plantation materials earmarked for sale under this tender process do not have any encumbrances and are not subject of debt verification process currently ongoing.
