INVITATION TO TENDER 

The Kenya Medical Research Institute {KEMRI) is a State Corporation established to Kenyan 1979 through toe Science and Technology (Repeated) Act, Cap 250 d toe Laws of Konya operated under the Sconce Technology and Innovation Act, 2013 as the national body responsible for carrying out research in human health in Kenya. Currently KEMRI operates under legal Notice No. 35 of March 2021, the vision is   “To be a leading centre of excellence in human health research” and its mission is  “To improve human health and quality of life through  research, capacity holding and service delivery.”

KEMRI wishes to procure the following: –

Interested eligible and qualified tenderers with relevant experience to setter undertakings are advised to submit their bids. The tender documents may be obtained tom the procurement department, KEMRI, Headquarters off, Mbagathi way, P. O. Box 54840 – 00200 Nairobi during normal working hours upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ksh.1000.00 per set of documents to be deposited to:-

Alternatively, Tender documents can be downloaded free d charge from our website www.kemri.org  However candidates who choose to download the documents must notify the procurement office immediately for record purposes by email: procurement@kemri.org.  Those who buy toe tenders are advised to take the banking slip to Kenya Medical Research Institute, cashiers office situated an 1st tear KEMRI Headquarters and be issued with an official receipt before collecting the tender documents. Instructions to tenderers are to the respective tender documents. The envelope containing the tender document, bearing no indication of the bidder and clearly marked as indicated in the table above, should be deposited to the tender box at the Reception Area, Ground Floor, KEMRI Headquarters or sent by post to:-

To reach not later than Friday, 29th Oct, 2021 at 10.00am local time. Interested bidders or their representatives are invited to witness the opening of the bids, to be held at the Conference HA, at KEMRI Headquarters on the same day at 10 JO am. KEMRI may terminate the procurement proceedings poor to entering into a contract and reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders, without being bound to give reasons for Is decision or incurring any liability. The Institute is also not obligated to award to the firm that offers the lowest price.
