NOTICE OF PUBLIC AUCTION FOR MOTOR VEHICLES & MOTORCYCLE
The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) hereby Invites Interested Bidders for the Sale of Unserviceable
Motor Vehicles & 1 No. Motor Cycle in the following Regional Offices and Centers through a
Public Auction.

2. Viewing Dates is from 8th March, 2023 to 21st March, 2023 during office hours only from
9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on weekdays at the auction centers indicated in the table above.
3. Interested bidders for the Motor Vehicles in Lot Nos. 3,7,8,12 &16 MUST deposit a Refundable
fee of Kshs. 100,000.00 while those interested in Lot Nos. 1,2,4,5,6,9,10,13 and 15 must
deposit a Refundable fee of Kshs 50,000.00 per vehicle/Lot. Lot 17 (Motor Cycle) a
Refundable fee of Kshs.10,000.00 shall be deposited into the Account Number provided in the
catalogue. See Motor vehicle/Lot details in the catalogue.
4. Payment of the deposit shall be made and an official receipt obtained from the Accounts Office
at the Head Office or any of the KURA regional offices by 21st March, 2023 at 4.00 p.m.
5. Bidding numbers shall be issued on the auction day to only those bidders who will present
a Kenya Urban Roads Authority receipt for that particular LOT as evidence of payment of the
deposit.
6. The successful bidders must pay 25% of the purchase price in form of a Bankers Cheque to the
KURA Account Number provided in the catalogue at the fall of the hammer.
7. The successful bidders must deposit the balance of the purchase into KURA bank account
provided in the catalogue within 14 days after the auction.
8. Other conditions of sale are attached in the catalogue.
9. The Catalogue containing details of the items to be auctioned may be downloaded from KURA
website (www.kura.go.ke) or PPIP procurement portal: www.tenders.go.ke free of charge.
10. All Interested bidders are required to continually check the Kenya Urban Roads Authority
website (www.kura.go.ke) for any addendum (s) or clarifications that may arise before the
Auction date.
