KTDA Power Company (KTPC) Ltd manages a number of small hydropower plants operating in Kenya tea growing areas on behalf of regional power companies. The small hydropower plants ranges from TO MW to 6 MW. The power generated from these hydro plants is used in the shareholder’s tea processing factories and the excess is fed to national grid under PPA.
To ensure efficient and reliable operation of the power plants, KTPC intends to prequalify eligible civil, electrical contractors and electromechanical(EM) maintenance and service contractors for provision of the above category of works for a period of five years.
Interested eligible contractors may obtain the pre-qualification/tender documents from procurement office located on first Floor KTDA Farmers Building, Moi Avenue during office hours upon payment of non-refundable registration fee. The documents can also be requested upon payment, by emailing: procurement@ktdateas.com
Pre-qualification documents in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the Tender Reference and Description should be addressed to:-

The completed documents should be deposited in the tender box at reception on ground floor, KTDA Farmers Building, Moi Avenue Nairobi so as to be received on or before 18th July, 2023 at 9.00 AM.
The tender opening shall be immediately thereafter virtually through a video link. Bidders shall be provided with the log in credentials before the tender opening.
KPTC reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids without the obligation to assign any reason for the decision.
Canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification from the tendering process.
