- The Government of Kenya has received a credit from the World Bank through the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of the Kenya Youth Employment and Opportunities Project (KYEOP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit toward payments under the contract for Procurement of 3No. motor vehicles for KYEOP-LMIS.
- The Ministry of Labour now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the above contract.
- Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures as specified in the world bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non -Consulting services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers (January, 2011 Edition revised 2014). Guidelines edition as per legal agreement (“procurement guideline” “and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the procurement guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs’ 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
- Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bid documents at the Procurement office located at NSSF Building, Block A, Eastern wing, 14th floor during office hours, Monday-Friday 0800 to 1700 hours excluding holidays.
- A complete set of the bidding document in English is available for downloading by interested eligible bidders from the Ministry of Labour website www.labour.go.ke or the government tender portal www.tenders.go.ke for free.
- Interested eligible bidders may bid for any one or more items in the tender and bid evaluation will be done per item. The delivery period will be from 4 to 12 weeks inclusive, counted from the point in time when the supplier has received an effective purchase order.
- A duly filled bid document enclosed in a plain sealed envelope clearly marked with the Contract Name and Reference Number should be deposited in the Tender box situated at the main entrance of procurement offices, NSSF Building, Block A, Eastern Wing, 14th Floor along Bishops road, Nairobi or posted to the address below so as to be received on or before Thursday 31st March 2022 at 10.30 a.m. East African Time.

Email: ps@labour.go.ke - Bids will be publicly opened on Thursday 31st March 2022 at 10.30 a.m. East African Time immediately after the closing time, in the presence of interested bidders’ or their designated representatives who may choose to attend the opening exercise which will be held at the conference room located at NSSF Building, Block A, Eastern Wing, 7th Floor along Bishops road, Nairobi.
- Electronic bidding will NOT be permitted and late bids will automatically be rejected. All bids must be accompanied by a “bid security” in form of a bank guarantee or bankers’ cheque of the value as indicated in the bid document and must be valid for 120 days from the date of Tender Opening.
