KENYA ELECTRICTY MODERNIZATION PROJECT (KEMP)

1. The Government of Kenya has received credit from the International Develop­ment Association (IDA) towards the cost of the Kenya Electricity Moderniza­tion Project (KEMP). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this credit will  be applied to eligible payments under the contract.
2. The Kenya Power and Lighting Company PLC now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for KP1/6A.1/OT/4/22/A96 – Procurement of RTUs, Multiplex­ers, Gateway & Adaptation Materials (Transducers & Interposing Relays & Control Cables) to Connect to KPLC SCADA System.
3. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods. Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Cred­its & Grants by World Bank Borrowers “published by the Bank in January 2011 (Revised July 2014) “Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from The Kenya Power and Lighting Company PLC and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 0900 to 1600 hours, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays:

6. The delivery period is 3 to 4 months and for details, refer to section VII of the Bidding Documents
7. Qualifications requirements Refer to Section III of the bidding documents must be delivered to the address below on or before Tuesday, 26^th April 2022 at 10.00 a.m. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the venue indicated in the issued bidding documents on Tuesday, 26,h April 2022 at 10.30 a.m. (local time).

All bids  MUST be accompanied by a Bid Security of not less than the indicated amount of item(s) or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency: KES 3 560,000 and USD 32,400
