PROCUREMENT OF SPARE PARTS FOR MAINTENANCE OF RAIL CARS AND RAIL CRANES

TENDER NO. KR/SCM/105/2023/2024
1. The Kenya Railways invites sealed Tenders for procurement of spare parts for
maintenance of rail cars and rai cranes
2. Tendering will be conducted under open tendering Method .Tendering is open to all
qualified and interested Tenderers.
3. Tenderers will be allowed to tender for one or more lots (where applicable).
4. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the
Tender Documents during office hours – 9.00a.m –4.00p.m at The General Manager –
Supply Chain Management office on ground floor block C Kenya Railways or from
www.krc.co.ke or ppip@ppra.go.ke and www.tenders.go.ke.
5. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website
www.krc.co.ke, www.ppip.go.ke. Tenderers who download the tender document
must forward their particulars immediately to procure@krc.co.ke to facilitate any
further clarification or addendum.
6. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Bank Guarantee of Kenya Shillings One
Million (Kshs .1,000,000.00 ) from a commercial bank registered in Kenya valid for 210
days from the date of tender opening.
7. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents
submitted (in the format 1, 2, 3, 4 …….to the last page) and indicate total number of pages
on the cover page.
8. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 3rd May2024 Electronic Tenders shall not be permitted.
9. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified
above or any dead line date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly
opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose
to attend at the address below.
10. Late tenders will be rejected.
