- MARANDA High School is a public owned boys’ boarding institution located in Kapiyo village approximately 5 kilometers from Bondo town in Bondo Sub County within Siaya County of Nyanza Region in the Republic of Kenya. The geographical location of the school is on Latitude 0° 5′ 17.16″ S and Longitude 34° 13′ 36.12″ E.
- The school is duly registered under Section 76 of the Basic Education Act No 14 of 2013 to offer academic and related programmes for boy students within the Republic of Kenya and currently has a student population of approximately 3,000 boys in the school compound.
- The school intends to complete a multipurpose hall within the school compound. The sub structure of the intended building is already done to completion. The intent is to complete the rest of the building as per instructions
- In this regard, therefore, prospective, eligible and interested contractors are hereby invited to participate in the bidding process for the aforesaid construction works. Only those who meet the following requirements will be considered;
- i)The tender that has been duly signed by the person authorized through the Power of Attorney
- ii)There is a LETTER granting power of attorney to sign the contract from the Tenderer,
iii) Tenderer must be a legal entity
- iv)If tenderer is a Joint Venture, it must be properly constituted
- v)A Valid Tax compliance Certificate, for Kenyan tenderers. Incase of a foreign company, a document equivalent to Kenyan Tax Compliance Certificate
- vi)A Tender Security of Kshs 2,000,000/= from an insurance company approved by the PPRA in the format provided in the bidding document (Form of Tender Security – Option 2]
vii) Tenderer who has not been debarred by PPRA or any other recognized institution
viii) Tenderer which is commercially autonomous Ken van state owned Enterprise
- ix)Tenderer who has no conflict of interests
- x)Tenderer which has met all scope of requirements and specifications without any material deviations, reservations or omissions xi] Tenderer which is not insolvent, in receivership, bankrupt or in the process of being wound up
- xi)The tender that is valid for the required number of days
xii) The tenderer who has appropriately filled the Tender Form
xiii) The tenderer who has adequately filled the Confidential Business Questionnaire and related documents
xiv) Tenderer who shall have met all other conditions as contained in the Standard Bidding Document
- Interested Eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Chief Principal, Maranda High School from 0900 to 1600 hours East Africa Time on Mondays to Fridays except during lunch break between 1300 hours and 1400 hours, weekends and Public Holidays
- The bidding document may be viewed and purchased from the school at a non-refundable fee of KES 1,000/= or downloaded by interested bidders free of charge from Public Procurement Information Portal [PPIP] – www.tenders.go.ke. Bidders who access the document online should submit their details to the e-mail address below to be captured in the tender issue register
- Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 1030 hours on the date stated above and deposited in the tender box located at the entrance to the Chief Principal’s office. The bid should be clearly marked “Proposed Completion of Multi-Purpose Hall”. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the bidders and/or representatives and anyone who chooses to attend in the school Boardroom.
