INVITATION TO TENDER
PROPOSED COMPLETION OF MUROKI EARTH DAM TRANS NZOIA COUNTY
Contract No: KE-CGTN-NARIGP-315089-CW-RFQ
1. The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of
the National Agricultural and Rural Inclusive Growth Project (NARIGP), and intends to apply
part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for proposed completion of
Muroki Earth Dam Trans Nzoia County.
2. The County Government of Trans Nzoia now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for
Construction of: embankment and excavation; De-siltation and reservoir excavation works,
Earth-Dam embankment works, repairs on auxiliary structures, fence repair works and grass
cover and soil erosion control on embankments. This assignment is expected to take two
months.
3. Tendering will be conducted under open Tender using non-bank standardized tender
document. Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
4. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
Documents during office hours i.e. 0800 to 1700 hours at the address given below.
5. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website
www.transnzoia.go.ke and also at www.tenders.go.ke. Tenderers who download the tender
document must forward their particulars immediately to supplychain.transnzoia@gmail.com
to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
6. Tenders shall be quoted be in Kenya Shillings and shall include all taxes. Tenders shall
remain valid for 180 days from the date of opening of tenders.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a tender Security of Kshs.200,000/= (two hundred
thousand in form of Bank Guarantee only.
8. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
9. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 12th October,
2022 at 11.00am. Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.
10. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or
any dead line date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the
presence of the Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the address
below.
11. Late tenders will be rejected.
