Proposed construction of dormitory block at Mama Ngina Girls Secondary school

MAMA NGINA GIRLS SECONDARY SCHOOL TENDER NOVEMBER 2021 

The Government of Kenya through the State Department of Basic Education and Early Learning and Mama Ngina Girls Secondary School wishes to invite open tenders from eligible registered contractors in category 5 and above for construction works below.

Those interested must meet the following mandatory requirements which should be supported by certified copies of requisite documents during submission for consideration for further evaluation: –

1. Certificate of Incorporation /registration
2. Valid National Construction Authority (NCA) Certificate under categories NCA 5 and above in building works.
3. Valid KRA pin and VAT Registration Certificate
4. Valid Tax Compliance Certificate for the Firm
5. Properly and dully filled Form of Tender in the right format; stamped and/or sealed, signed by authorized personnel.
6. Properly and dully filled Tender Questionnaire; stamped and/or sealed, signed by authorized personnel.
7. Properly and dully filled Confidential Business Questionnaire; stamped and/or sealed, signed by authorized personnel
8. Current CR12 from the Registrar of companies
9. Copy of identification Cards of the company directors
10. Bid bond from a reputable bank or insurance company
11. Original official receipt for the purchase of tender document
12. Certificate of independent tender determination dully signed
13. The self-declaration form of the tenderer dully signed
14. Ant corruption self-declaration form dully signed
15. Declaration and commitment to the code of ethics
16. Attach certificates for nominated subcontractors for electrical and mechanical works.

In addition to the above, the tenderer must show proof of the following: –

1. a)Adequate equipment holding for the specified type of work. (lease agreement/ownership)
2. b)Key technical staff to be engaged.
3. c)Audited accounts for the last three years. (2018, 2019 and 2020)
4. d)Bank Account in the name of the company (Attach six months’ bank statements).
5. e)Works of similar magnitude and complexity undertaken in the last three (3)years. (2018,2019and 2020)
6. f)State Litigation history of the company (if any) -Both court and arbitration cases).
7. g)Evidence of sound financial standing and access to bank credit line indicating the amount of credit worth.

ALL BIDDERS MUST NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

• There will be a mandatory pre-tender site visit on Monday 22^nd  November 2021 at 10 a.m. at the new school in Shimo la Tewa.
• Bind the document before dropping in the tender box.
• Attach certified copies of supportive documents for all requirements above.
• A copy of receipt must be attached on the tender document upon submission.
• Applications received after the closing date and time shall be rejected.
• The bid document should be Serialized in the format1,2, 3,4……………

Tender documents may be obtained in person or on written request from the schools’ cash office during normal work­ing hours on payment of a non-refundable fee of Ksh. 1,000 (One Thousand only) per set of documents.

Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website (www.mamanginagirls.sc.ke). Tenderers who download the tender document must forward their particulars immediately to www.mamanginagirls.sc.ke to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.

Prices quoted must be NET i.e. inclusive of all government taxes applicable, must be in Kenyan shillings and shall remain valid for Two hundred and forty (240) days for all the tenders from the closing date of Tenders

Tenders in plain sealed envelopes, marked tender number on the right hand side corner and bearing no indication of the tenderer should be addressed to:-

Should be deposited in the Tender Box at the office on or before 29^th  November 2021 at 11.00 a.m.

Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend but must adhere to the government directive on Covid 19.Opening will be conducted at the school’s board­room at Kizingo, Mombasa.
