INVITATION TO TENDER
PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF MLOLONGO LEVEL 4 HOSPITAL-MAVOKO SUB-COUNTY MACHAKOS COUNTY
TENDER NO. GMC/MOH/OT /001 / 2024-2025
The Machakos County Government through the Department of Health Services invites sealed tenders for the
PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF MLOLONGO LEVEL 4 HOSPITAL
1. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive method using a standardized tender document and is
open to all qualified and interested tenderers.
2. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents
at the Department of Health headquarters during office hours between 8.00a.m to 1.00pm and 2.00pm
to 4.00p.m.
3. Tender documents may be obtained electronically from the Machakos County Government website
www.machakos.go.ke or the Government PPIP Portal: www.tenders.go.ke. Interested and eligible
firms may obtain additional information from the office of the Head of Procurement, Health Services

4. Tender documents obtained electronically will be free of charge. Tenderers downloading documents
from a designated website shall advise Machakos County Government that they have downloaded the
tender documents, giving full contact addresses of the tenderer (email, telephone number and postal
address).
5. Tenders shall be quoted in Kenya Shillings and shall include all applicable taxes. Tenders shall remain
valid for 119 days from the date of opening of tenders.
6. Tender security of Kshs. 500,000.00 in form of cash, bank guarantee, guarantee by an insurance
companny or a guarantee issued by a financial institution approved and licensed by CBK in line to
Regulation 45 (1) of PPADR 2020 valid for119 days from the tender opening date
- The Tenderer SHALL chronologically and sequentially serialize all pages of the tender documents
submitted in the numerical format i.e. 1,2,3,4….. including the cover page and all other pages and
attachments. - Completed tenders must be delivered to the tender box located on the Ground Floor of MachakosCounty
Government headquarters on or before 04 FEBRUARY 2025 at 11.00AM. Electronic Tenders will not
be permitted. - Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any deadline
date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’
designated representatives who choose to attend in the Laboratory Boardroom located at Machakos
Level 5 Hospital of Machakos County government. Late tenders will be rejected.
