STATE DEPARTMENT FOR PUBLIC WORKS 

The Government of Kenya through the State Department for Public Works invites tenders from eligible contractors for the proposed works: –

Interested Contractors who are registered in relevant trades and categories, (proof of registration required) may ob­tain Tender Documents from the Works Building – Contracts Documentation Office,4th Floor Room 412, Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development and Public Works (State Department for Public Works) in person, or downloaded from State Department for Public Works website www.publicworkskenya.com . A non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1000/- is to be paid in cash to Account No. 0-401-000-3520300 at the Cash Office before 4.00pm on normal working days or in banker’s cheque payable to The Principal Secretary, State Depart­ment for Public Works, Nairobi.

For the tenderers who download the tender document from the State Department for Public Works website www.publicworkskenya.com  they will be required to provide the firm’s current details at the Contracts Documentation Office,4th Floor Room 412 for registration or send the information through the official email address. pworkssecretary@gmail.com detailing the company’s registered name. postal address. email address and telephone contact.

Tenders in plain sealed envelopes, marked tender number on the right-hand side corner and bearing no indication of the tenderer should be addressed to: –

and placed in the Tender Box on 5th Floor at the Works Building. Ngong Road. Nairobi or sent by post so as to reach the above address on or before Wednesday, 13^th  April 2022 at 10.00am.

Submitted bids will be opened publicly in the Chief Quantity Surveyor’s Boardroom, 5th Floor soon after the above stated closing date and time in the presence of the tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend. Late bids will be returned unopened.

Prices quoted must be net inclusive of VAT and all Government Taxes and must remain valid for One Hundred Twen­ty-Six (126) days from the opening date of the tender.

The Bid Security. which must be from a Reputable Bank or from a PPRA accredited insurance company, shall be valid for One Hundred Fifty-Six (156) days from the tender opening date.

The Government reserves the right to reject any tender without giving reasons for the rejection and does not bind itself to accept the lowest bid or any tender.
