INVITATION FOR BIDS
PROPOSED REHABILITATION OF AMANI CHEPCHOINA EARTH DAM IN ENDEBESS SUBCOUNTY

1. The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the National Agricultural and Rural Inclusive Growth Project (NARIGP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for proposed rehabilitation of Amani – Chepchoina Earth Dam in Endebess Sub-County.
2. The County Government of Trans Nzoia now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Construction of: excavation of the main reservoir, construction of embankment, Siltation Basin, Spillway and auxiliary works at the proposed Amani – Chepchoina Earth Dam. This assignment is expected to take three months.
3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers before 1st July, 2016 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the undersigned and inspect the bidding documents during office hours at the address given below: County Supply Chain Management Offices – Kitale (Fire Station).
5. Prospective candidates may obtain further information/details, view and download tender documents free of charge at the County’s website www.transnzoia.go.ke and also at public procurement information portal (PPIP): http://tenders.go.ke
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 11.00am, 22nd July, 2022. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on 11.00am, 22nd July, 2022.
7. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Kshs.300,000/= (Kenya Shillings three hundred thousand only) in form of Bank Guarantee.
