NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE TENDER MARCH 2023 

TENDER NOTICE 

The NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE (NYS) invites sealed bids from eligible contractors who are registered with the
National Construction Authority (NCA) category 6 and above under builder’s works category with current annual
contractors practicing license, at National Youth Service for proposed repairs to servicemen barracks at National
Youth Service (Open Tender).
A complete set of tender documents may be downloaded from the Services websites: www.nys.go.ke or from
National Treasury portal: http//supplier.treasury.go.ke free of charge or Ksh.1,000 will be charged for obtaining
tender document from NYS headquarters payable to the NYS cash or bankers’ cheque. Tenderers to execute
Kshs. 1,000,000 bid bond valid for 120 days from date of opening in form of cash, bankers cheque or approved
insurance company.
Prices quoted should be net inclusive of all taxes, must be in Kenya Shillings and shall remain valid for (120)
days from the closing date of the tender.
Mandatory Pre-Tender site visit will take place on 14th March 2023 at 10:00am at NYS (Nairobi Holding Unit
Hall)
Completed tender documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelope marked with the tender number and
be deposited in the tender box at the NYS Headquarters, Ruaraka, 1st floor so as to be received on or before
22nd March, 2023 at 10.00 a.m. addressed to:

Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter at 10.00 a.m. in the presence of tenderers or their representatives
