Provision of Consultancy Service for Prisons Farms Land Use – State Department for Correctional Services

STATE DEPARTMENT FOR CORRECTIONAL

The Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government, State Department for Correctional Services Invites proposals from eligible firm consultants to provide consultancy service on prisons farms land use.

The tender documents including detailed terms of reference and further bidding instructions and procedures can be collected from the Supply Chain Management office, teleposta, 13th floor upon payment of Non Refundable fee of KES. 1,000.00 in cash or Banker’s Cheque payable to Principal Secretary. Bidding documents can also be downloaded free of charge from the department’s websites www.correctional.go.ke or, from IFMIS Kenya supplier’s portal: www.supplier.treasury.go.ke and or www.mygov.go.ke

Candidates should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualification and relevant experience to perform the services. The consultants must meet the following minimum requirements

1. Proof of five (5) similar consulting contracts in the last Ten (10) years.
2. Technical team capacity to include the following experts:
3.             Agricultural Economist (Team leader) – Minimum Masters graduate level with minimum of Sev­en (7) years’ experience.
4.             Agronomist – Minimum Under graduate level with minimum of seven (7) years’ experience

      III.            Soil scientist – Minimum Under graduate level with minimum of seven (7) year experience

1.             Livestock specialist – Minimum Under graduate level with minimum of seven (7) year experi­ence
2. Commitment to complete the consultancy within three (3) months of award of contract.

Consultants should deposit a sealed package with one (1) original and one (1) copy of each proposal in the manner indicated instruction to tenderers, in the department’s Tender box situated at 13th Floor, teleposta House, Nairobi Kenya. The package should indicate the RFP No. SDC/RFP/001/2020-2021 and be addressed to;

The deadline for receipt of Proposals at the addresses mentioned above is 7^th January, 2021, 10:00 hrs. East African Time (EAT). Proposals received after the deadline will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. Proposals will be opened in public on 7th January, 2021, 10:00 hrs East African Time (EAT). at the 13th floor boardroom, Teleposta, in the presence of the candidates’ representatives who choose to attend the tender opening
