REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT/ RE-ENGINEERING SPECIALIST

The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Kenya Water Security and climate Resilience Project (KWSCRP-1) and intends to apply part of the proceeds from this financing for payment of Consulting Services for -design and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems for Mombasa Water Supply and Sanitation Company (MOWASSCO) and Water Resources Authority (WRA).
The Project Management Unit (PMU) is desirous to recruit a Business Process Management/Re-Engineering Specialist with specific experience in business process analysis, documentation and process improvement/ re-engineering.
The Post- Reporting to the Project Manager PMU, the Business Process Management/Re-Engineering Specialist will assist MOWASSCO and WRA to; i) perform audit and assessment of the current business processes and document the findings in the form of: as-is process flows of major business functions; (ii) explore opportunities for improving the efficiency of business processes ; and iii) facilitate documentation of process flow charts, procedures and work instructions in accordance with standard formats.

The Ministry of Water. Sanitation and Irrigation (the Client) now invites eligible individual consultants to express their interest (EOI) in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide their CV$ and information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services. The desired consultant should meet the following minimum requirements:
a)At least Master’s Degree in a relevant field from a reputable University;
b)Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience in business process management/re-engineering; c Professional Certification in respective professional area;
c)Specific experience (Hands-on) in business process documentation and process improvement/ re-engineering in large organizations in Kenya will be a distinct advantage; and
d)Should be fluent in English.
The duration of the assignment is 80 Man-days is expected to commence on August 1, 2020.
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants [under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants] by World Bank Borrowers January 2011 revised July 2014 (“Consultant Guidelines’), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
Selection of an Individual Consultant will be in accordance with World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants /under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants] by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011 revised July 2014 (“Consultant Guidelines”). The selection criteria will be solely based on individual experience and qualifications.
