PROVISION OF E-LOGISTICS PLATFORM FOR SHARED TRANSPORT CAPACITY.
The United Nations World Food Programme (UNWFP) is the food-assistance agency of the United Nations and is the world’s largest humanitarian organization addressing hunger and promoting food security.
In order to complement its operations in Kenya, UNWFP seeks to engage companies with the pre-requisite capacity to provide an online sharing forum [digital transport marketplace) that connects available transport resources with UNWFP’s demands for these services.
The companies to be engaged will need to comply with the following minimum criteria:
- Have a minimum of 3 years operational experience providing this service.
- Must be physically domiciled in Kenya and also provide details of countries they are registered or working in.
- Provide a client portfolio, the documented volume of transactions performed in the platform as well as existing client satisfaction reports.
- Provide demonstrable evidence on the calibre of technical expertise of staff engaged.
- Provide the cargo insurance/liability model for consignments being managed through the platform.
- Provide the financial model and the payment model for their subcontractors on delivery.
- Provide details of their vetting process for subcontractors, as well as the technical requirements used to register trucks on the platform.
- Propose and/or demonstrate how the software used can be integrated with WFP systems when required to do so at later stage.
UNWFP invites qualified technological companies who are duly registered and authorized in accordance with prevailing laws in Kenya to submit their information for consideration for shortlisting.
Procedural of participation in the shortlisting process.
- Potential companies that feel they meet the outlined requirements must confirm their interest by filling a registration form.

- The online registration form must be filled by1200 hrs on 17 March 2023.
- Only interested parties who register will be provided with further information regarding the shortlisting procedure.
- Kindly note that no documents are required at this stage.

No rates/prices/documents are required at this stage and this invitation does not bind the World Food Programme to issue any tenders or contracts to the companies expressing their interest.
