PROVISION OF MEDICAL INSURANCE COVER FOR MEMBERS OF STAFF
1. The Alupe university also known as the procuring entity invites sealed tenders for
the provision of MEDICAL INSURANCE COVER SERVICE FOR MEMBERS OF
STAFF. The contract will be for a period of one year which may be renewed subject to
annual satisfactory performance review.
2. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive tendering method using a
standardized tender document and is open to Underwrites only
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the
Tender Documents during office hours 8:00am to 5:00pm at the address given
below. Tender documents may be viewed and/or downloaded from the website:

4. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested
tenders upon payment of a non- refundable fees of Kshs. 1000 (One Thousand only)

Tender documents obtained electronically will be free of charge.
5. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website
www.au.ac.ke. Tenderers who download the tender document must forward their
particulars immediately to quotation@au.ac.ke Tel: 0741 217 185 and P.O Box
845-50400 Busia to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
6. Tenders must be accompanied by a tender security of Kshs. 300,000 valid for 150
days in form of a guarantee from a reputable bank only payable to the Vice
Chancellor, Alupe University.
Note: Self- insured tender securities are not allowed
7. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
8. Completed tender documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, marked with the
tender number and be deposited in the tender box provided at Alupe University Offices,
Administration block, Busia-Malaba Road, and addressed to:
