INVITATION TO TENDER
CONTRACT NAME AND DESCRIPTION: PROVISION OF MEDICAL INSURANCE COVER FOR STAFF AND BOARD MEMBERS
TENDER NO. KDB/S/201/2021-2022
1. Kenya Dairy Board invites sealed tenders for the provision of Medical Insurance Cover for Staff and Board Members for one year.
2. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive tendering method using a standardized tender document
and is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers. Tenderers will be allowed to tender for one or more items.
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents during office hours at the address given below.

during normal working hours on Monday to Friday between 0800hrs to 1700hrs (East Africa Time).
4. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenders upon payment of a
non- refundable fees of KES 1,000 in cash or Banker’s Cheque and payable to the Kenya Dairy Board. Tender documents obtained electronically will be free of charge Tender documents obtained from Kenya Dairy Board website, www.kdb.go.ke the PPIP portal, www.tenders.go.ke shall be free of charge.
5. Tenderers who download the tender document must forward their particulars immediately to procurement@kdb.go.ke to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
6. All Tenders must be accompanied by an Original tender security of Kenya Shillings 300,000.00; in form of a Bank guarantee from a bank licensed and operating in Kenya, valid for thirty (30) days beyond the validity of the tender (150 days) shall be submitted by prospective bidders. This shall be in the format provided in the tender document. Tender Security from an Insurance Company shall NOT be acceptable.
7. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
8. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before Wednesday, 23rd May, 2022 at 11.00am (East Africa Time). Electronic Tenders WILL NOT be permitted.

9. Tenders that do not fit in the tender box shall be deposited at the Procurement office and recorded using the register located at the reception area at the address located in clause 8 above.
10. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any deadline date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
11. Late tenders will be rejected.
