INVITATION TO TENDER

The State Department for Medical Services invites sealed bids from eligible firms for the following two
tenders;

2. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents at the Supply
Chain Management Office located at Afya House Building, 5th Floor Room 514 during office hours (0900 to
1700).
3. Bidders may request for clarifications on the Tenders up to Four (4) days before the Tender submission date.

4. A complete set of tender documents with detailed qualification criteria may be downloaded from the government
tender portal www.tenders.go.ke or the Ministry’s website www.health.go.ke free of charge. Those
tenderers who download the tender documents are requested to submit their details including the name of
the firm, postal and physical address, email address and contact telephone number(s) for purposes of communication
of any clarification and/or addenda.
5. All Tenderers for cleaning services shall duly fill, sign, date and stamp the Tender Securing Declaration form as
provided in this tender document.
6. All tenders for Security Guard services must be accompanied by a Bid Scurity of Kshs. 1,000,000 (1 Million)
from a reputaBle bank regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya or an insurance company approved by the
Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA).
7. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender document submitted including attachments
and testimonials.
8. Completed tender documents enclosed in plain sealed envelopes and marked with the tender number and
reference name should be sent through registered mail addressed to:

or be deposited in the Tender Box situated at the Lift Lobby on 1st Floor, Afya House, Cathedral Road Nairobi
so as to be received on or before Tuesday 13th February, 2024 at 11.00 am. No tenders shall be submitted
electronically.
9. Late bids will be rejected and returned unopened.
10. The Tender documents will be opened immediately after closure of the tender at the GTZ Boardroom located
at prefabricated building behind Afya House, Cathedral Road, Nairobi in the presence of the bidders or their
representatives who choose to attend.
11. Prices quoted must be net inclusive of VAT and all other applicable Government Taxes and must remain valid
for One Hundred and Twenty-Six (126) days from the date of tender opening.
