The purpose of this invitation is to request for the provision of the statutory external audit services to Mombasa Port SACCO Society Ltd for the financial year 2022.
Mombasa Port SACCO Society Ltd is a leading and fast-growing Deposit Taking SACCO regulated by the SACCO Societies Regulatory Authority [SASRA]. It has an asset base of over Kshs. 7 billion and membership of over 9,000 drawn from the transport, education, hospitality sectors among others.
The Society is seeking for the services of an External Auditor for the financial year ending 31st December, 2022 in line with the Co-operative Societies Act Cap 490.
REQUIRED PROFILE FOR THE AUDIT FIRMS
Bidding firms will be required to meet the following criteria;
- Be registered with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya [ICPAK] and its partners holding a current Practice Certificate.
- Have at least two partners who must be in good standing with ICPAK while the firm and its partners should not have been subject to any disciplinary action by ICPAK or other related professional bodies.
- Have been duly registered with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Co-operatives and SASRA.
- Should have been in operation for a period of five years.
- Should demonstrate that it has the capacity, capability and experience required to undertake the audit within the required timelines.
- Must have audited at least four reputable large Deposit Taking SACCOs over the last three years [to give reference],
- Must provide detailed CVs for the partners, current staff and the list of Deposit Taking SACCOs audited.
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL SUBMISSION
Firms meeting the above criteria are requested to submit their proposals in two sealed envelopes containing the Technical Proposal and Financial proposal.
The Tender Document and the Technical Evaluation Criteria can be downloaded from our website at www.msaportsacco.co.ke. They are to be returned in duly sealed envelopes and dropped in the Tender Box at the Society’s reception area on or before 21st January, 2022 at 1200 hours.
