NOTICE OF SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION
STD/D/PA/01/2022-2023

The State Department for Tourism will conduct a public auction for sale of various boarded items as
detailed in the catalogue on “as is where is” basis to be carried out on 7th July, 2023 at 10.00 am
at Utalii House Building.
The items on auction include: motor vehicles, assorted office furniture, equipment and Stationery
as detailed in the catalogue. The detailed catalogue containing all the items and other information
may be obtained from Tourism Fund Building, Room 820 during working hours. Bidders may also
view and download the catalogue from the State Department for Tourism’s website: www.tourism.
go.ke and Treasury portal www.suplier.treasury.go.ke
Interested bidders may view the items before the public auction date. Public viewing of items to be
disposed will be open from 27th June, 2023 to 29th June, 2023 at Utalii House Building, 7th Floor
from 9.00am to 3.00pm.
For one to participate, bidders shall obtain a bid number after paying a deposit of the items they
intend to buy. Payment shall be made at cash office, 9th floor, Tourism Fund Building. The deposit
for the successful bidder shall form part of payment. However, the deposit shall be refunded to
unsuccessful bidders.
The winning and declared successful bidders shall deposit 25% of the purchase value at the fall of
hammer and clear the balance within seven (7) days from the date of auction. Failure to complete
payments, the deposit shall be forfeited and subject item(s) shall be re-sold.
All payments to State Department for Tourism shall be in form of Bankers Cheques and or Cash.
Bidders shall be issued with physical receipts.
