PUBLIC AUCTION 

PUBLIC AUCTION OF UNSERVICEABLE ITEMS: USED MOTOR VEHICLES AND WORN OUT TYRES

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, State Department for Crop Development invites interested
bidders for Public Auction of obsolete and unserviceable assets as follows:
Appointed Auctioneer: Trenad Auctioneers of P. O. Box 12853-00100 Nairobi. Telephone No. 0738843381.
The Auction will be held at KARLO Kabete HQS,Waiyaki Way at 10:00 am.
Viewing Dates: 3rd to 16th May, 2023
Allocation Dates: 17th to 18th May, 2023
Items to be auctioned among others include:
1. Assorted worn out tyres
2. Used Motor Vehicles
Interested bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development
website and www.kilimo.go.ke.
CONDITIONS OF SALE
1. Prospective bidders are advised to view used motor vehicles and worn out tyres at the locations indicated
on the schedule list in the website.
2. All interested purchasers are requested to view the items as per the dates shown above and verify their
respective details as these are not warranted by neither the Auctioneer nor The State Department for Crop
as the items are being offered for Sale “As-is-Where-is” basis.
3. All the interested purchasers will be required to pay a deposit of Kshs. 20,000/= per lot or item on auction.
Where the bid price is lower than the deposit price, the bidder will be refunded the difference between the
bid price and the deposit amount on the presentation of the receipt. However, where the bid price is higher
than the deposit the bidder will need to pay not less than 25% of the total value. The balance must be paid
within 24 hours failure to which the award will be cancelled and the deposit forfeited and the item sold to
the second highest bidder. The deposit should be made in cash at the cash office situated at Kahawa house,
Lower ground floor.
4. Download the Catalogue containing details of the items earmarked for disposal from the State Department
for Crop Development Website free of charge. The bidders are advised to bring deposit receipt of Kshs.
20,000/= in order to obtain the bidding number as no one will be allowed to bid without a bidding number.
5. All purchased items shall be paid for and collected from respective SDCD’s premises within 7 days from
the date of the auction failure to which, the SDCD will charge storage fee at a rate of Kshs.500 per day until
collection. If the items are not collected within 14 days, the items will be forfeited to the State Department.
