STATE DEPARTMENT OF LIVESTOCK

1. The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Regional Pastoral Livelihood Resilience Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Rehabilitation of holding ground and associated infrastructure at Chemogoch Village Baringo County.
2. The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Rehabilitation of holding ground and associated infrastructure at Chemogoch Village Baringo County to be completed within 90 days from the date of contract signing.
3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers (January 2011; Revised July 2014) Guidelines edition as per le-gal agreement] (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s Policy on conflict of interest.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the Region-al Pastoral Livelihoods Resilience Project Procurement Office situated at Hill Plaza, 10^th Floor, Room 1002, Ngong Road, Nairobi from Monday to Friday excluding weekends and public holidays from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.

5. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be obtained by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the Principal Secretary, State Department for Livestock; P.O. Box 34188-00100 Nairobi and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of KES 1000/= in cash or Bankers Cheque in favour of the Principal Secretary, State Department for Livestock at the cash office situated at Kilimo House, Lower ground floor; Cathedral road, Nairobi. The bidding documents may also be downloaded for free from the project website: www.kilimo.go.ke.
6. Bids must be deposited in the Tender box situated at Kilimo House Main reception; Ground floor, Cathedral road, Nairobi in plain sealed envelopes and marked with the Tender number and name or addressed to the Principal Secretary, State Department of Livestock; P.O. Box 34188-00100 Nairobi on or before 27^th March 2020 at 10.00 a. m East African Time.
7. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at Kilimo House, 6^th floor boardroom, Cathedral road, Nairobi at 10.00 a. m East African Time
8. All bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” as follows: The bid security must be valid for 28 days beyond the validity of the tender.
