INVITATION TO TENDER

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR PROVISION OF GROUP LIFE ASSURANCE
1. The University invites sealed tenders for Provision of Group Life Assurance
2. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
Documents during office hours 0800hrs-1700hrs EAT at the address given below. Tender
documents may be viewed and/or downloaded from the website www.gau.ac.ke
3. A complete set of tender documents may be obtained by interested bidders from www.gau.ac.ke
Tender documents obtained electronically will be free of charge.
4. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website www.gau.ac.ke.
Tenderers who download the tender document must forward their particulars immediately to
Procurement@gau.ac.ke to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
5. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security in form of a bank guarantee issued by a
reputable bank, a Financial Institution approved by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) or
insurance companies listed by PPRA and registered by IRA in the amount Kshs 35,000.00. The
tender security should be valid for 140 days from date of tender opening.
6. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents including
attachments submitted (Format 1, 2, 3, 4…n, where n is the last page number) and the tender
document shall be free from mutilation.
7. Completed tenders must be delivered to the tender box situated at the Main administration block, at
Garissa University, P.O. Box 1801-70100 Garissa, on or before Tuesday 7th, March, 2023, at
11:00AM.
8. Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.
9. Prices quoted shall be net inclusive of all taxes and delivery must be in Kenya Shillings and shall
remain valid for 126 days from the closing date of the tender.
10. Late tenders will be rejected.
11. The tender shall be submitted in two hard copies i.e. one “ORIGINAL TENDER” and a COPY of the bid
document. Both copies put in an outer envelope marked with tender number and nameand marked “DO
NOT OPEN BEFORE: Tuesday 7th
, March, 2023, at 11:00AM.
