  1. The Republic of Kenya has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) in the form of a Credit toward cost of the Kenya Youth Employment and Opportunities Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit toward payments under the contract for the Supply and Delivery of Motor Vehicles.
  2. The Ministry of Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Supply and Delivery of 2 No Lots Branded Motor Vehicles as provided

Lot 1 MTD-944-045-19, Double cab Pick-Up, 4 x 4, LWB, 2000-2500cc., Diesel 8 No.
Lot 2 MTD-2401-045-19, Heavy Duty Pick-Up Double cab, 4×4, 1-1.5 Ton, Diesel, 2900-4200cc 4 No
  1. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of goods and Non-Consulting Services IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011, Revised July 2014 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
  2. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents during office hours at the address given below during office hours: Monday to Friday: 0800 to 1700 hours.
  3. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be accessed and downloaded from the Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth website www.ict.go.ke and treasury suppliers portal www.tenders.go.ke The bid document may also be obtained by interested eligible bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kenya Shillings One Thousand (Kshs 1,000) at Kencom House third Floor. The method of payment will be cash. Those who choose to download should register with the Procurement Office at Bruce House 3rd Floor Rm No.6.
  4. Bids must be delivered and deposited at the Tender Box located at Kencom House 3rd floor on or before Thursday 13th March, 2020 at 10.00Am local Kenyan Time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend. The opening will take place in the Boardroom on 3rd Floor, KENCOM House.
  5. A bids security must accompany all bids as follows:
