KWALE WATER AND SEWERAGE COMPANY LTD

1. The Government of Kenya has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of the Water and Sanitation Development Project (WSDP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery of 4No.Meter Testing Kits and 2No. Leak Detectors.
2. The Kwale Water and Sewerage Company now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Supply and Delivery of 4No. Meter Testing Kits and 2No. Leak Detectors to be delivered at Kwale Water & Sewerage Company.

3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011 revised July 2014 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Kwale Water and Sewerage Company at the address below and inspect the bidding documents during office hours 8.30 am to 16.30 pm, local time at the address given below:
5. complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Kshs.1,000.00 (Kenya Shillings One Thousand Only) per set. Bidders can access the bidding documents at our website and download for free. The method of payment will be through banker’s cheque in favor of Kwale Water and Sewerage Company; Account Number 1108004849 Kenya Commercial Bank. Bidders who download the bidding document are required to notify the purchaser by email with full contact details that they intend to participate, this will facilitate issuance of notifications by the purchaser to all bidders where necessary. The Bidding Documents will be collected from the address below upon production of a purchase receipt.

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before Thursday, 16^th January 2020 at 10.30am (EAT). Bids must clearly be marked “Supply and delivery of 4No. Meter Testing Kits and 2No. Leak Detectors Contract No. KE-KWAWASCO- 126395-GO-RFB”. Electronic bidding will NOT be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened there after in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below.
7. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in form of a bank guarantee; of KES.245,000.00 (Kenya Shillings Two Hundred and Forty Five Thousand Only).
