1. The Government of the Republic of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of
the Horn of Africa Gateway Development Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payment
under the contract for Supply and Delivery of; Lot 1: 1No. 4WD Double Cabin Pick-up 4×4, LWB 2400- 3000cc,
Diesel. Lot 2: 2No. Heavy Duty, Utility Passenger Vehicle, 4×4, LWB, 2400-3000 for Engineers Board of Kenya.
2. The State Department of Infrastructure now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply and Delivery
of; Lot 1: 1No. 4WD Double Cabin Pick-up 4×4, LWB 2400- 3000cc, Diesel. Lot 2: 2No. Heavy Duty, Utility
Passenger Vehicle, 4×4, LWB, 2400-3000 as per the following Lots

3. Bidding will be conducted through National competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as
specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” November 2020 (“Procurement
Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document on Public
Procurement Information Portal www.tenders.go.ke or www.ebk.go.ke website or visit the Supply Chain
Management Office, Works Building, Ground Floor, Ngong Road, Room No.50, Nairobi during normal office
working hours (0900 to 1700 hours EAT). Those who download the document should immediately send
their particulars to scms@infrastructure.go.ke for the purpose of registration and receipt of any further
clarifications and addendums.
5. The bid document in English may be downloaded from www.tenders.go.ke or www.ebk.go.ke free of
charge from the websites. Bidders are encouraged to download the bid document to minimize physical visit
to Works Building.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below and deposited in the Tender Box situated on Ground Floor,
Works Building opposite Room 48 on or before 10.00 am local time on 8th December 2022. Electronic Bidding
will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened immediately thereafter in
the presence of the Bidders.
7. All Bids must be accompanied by Bid security in form of a bank guarantee or a bank draft issued by a
reputable bank located in Kenya, or Insurance of 2% (Bid sum) from a reputable insurance firm approved by
Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA).
8. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the
successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership
Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
