Invitation for Bids

SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF PIPES AND FITTINGS FOR EMERGENCY WORKS

The Government of Kenya through Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation has allocated funds to Athi Water Works Development Agency (AWWDA) towards the Supply and Delivery of Pipes and Fittings for emergency works, within AWWDA area of jurisdiction.
AWWDA now invites sealed bids from eligible suppliers for the following;

The following are Mandatory requirements that must be submitted together with the bid document

Certified copy of Certificate of Incorporation, Business Permit and a Valid Tax Compliance Certificate,
Firm’s Audited Accounts for the last three (3) years,
References on previous experiences for similar works further information will be in the bidding document.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Athi Water Works Development Agency and inspect the bidding documents during office hours from 0800 hours to 1700hours local time from Monday to Friday, except during lunch hour (1300 hours to 1400 hours), during weekends and public holidays at the address given below.
A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1,000 (Kenya Shillings One Thousand. The method of payment will be cash or banker’s cheque. The documents may also be downloaded from AWWDA website, www.awwda.go.ke. and www.tenders.go.ke free of charge. Bidders who choose to download the bidding document from the website MUST forward their particulars immediately to procurement@awwda.go.ke. for records and any further clarifications and addenda. Further information may be obtained from the address below:
All bids must be accompanied with a bid security in the form of an unconditional Bank guarantee or from an insurance company registered by IRA and approved by PPRA valued at Kshs. 1,000,000.00 (Kenya Shillings One Million Only).
Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 12.00pm East African Time on 13th August, 2020 clearly marked ‘Supply and Delivery of Pipes and Fittings for Emergency Works’ NCB: AWWDA Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of all bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on 13th August, 2020 at 12.05pm East African Time.
Opening of bids will be in line with the PPRA Guidelines as stipulated in the circular no.02/2020 which can be accessed from their website www.ppra.go.ke
