SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF SANITARY TOWELS TO PUBLIC PRIMARY SCHOOLS BY LOCAL MANUFACTURERS AND AGPO (YOUTH, WOMEN AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY-PWD) CATEGORIES

STATE DEPARTMENT FOR BASIC EDUCATION 

NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING (NCB)       

1. The Government of Kenya has established a budget line for the procurement and distribution of sanitary
towels for deserving girls in Public Primary Schools. In this regard, the Ministry of Education wishes to invite
bids for the supply and delivery of sanitary towels to Public Primary Schools by Local Manufacturers
and AGPO (Youth Women and PWD) Categories
2. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive method (National) using a standardized tender
document. Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Local Manufacturers and AGPO
(Youth, Women and PWD) Category.
“Tenderers will be allowed to tender for one or more lots”.
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents
during office hours 0900 to 1500 hours at the address given below.
4. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenderers upon
payment of a non- refundable fees of KES 1,000.00 in cash or Banker’s Cheque and payable to
the address given below. Tender documents may be obtained electronically from the Website (www.
education.go.ke). Tender documents obtained electronically will be free of charge.
Tenderers who download the tender document must forward their particulars immediately to
ppo@education.go.ke to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
5. All Tenders must be accompanied by; tender Security of 2% of the tender amount for Local Manufacturers
and Tender Securing Declaration for AGPO Category.
6. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 2nd December, 2022 at
11.00 am. Electronic tenders will not be permitted and Late tenders will be rejected.
7. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any dead
line date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’
designated representatives who choose to attend 2nd floor, small boardroom, Jogoo House ‘B’,
Harambee Avenue.
