Supply and Delivery of Two 4×4 Utility Motor Vehicles

WATER SERVICES REGULATORY BOARD TENDER 2021 

1. The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Water and Sanitation Development Project (WSDP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward pay­ments under the contract for the supply of motor vehicles.
2. The Water Services Regulatory Board now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for supply and delivery of Two number 4×4 Utility Motor Vehicles to be delivered to WASREB offices at NHIF Building in Nairobi. More details are contained in the bidding documents.
3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by  World Bank Borrowers January 2011, revised in July 2014 (“Pro­curement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
4. Due to the threats posed by COVID -19, interested eligible bidders may seek further information about the tender in writing from WASREB through our official email address: info@wasreb.go.ke no later than 14 days from the bids’ submission deadline.
5. Interested bidders may access, view and download a detailed tender document from www.wasreb.go.ke  or the public procurement tender portal www.tenders.go.ke free of charge. Bidders MUST reg­ister by tendering their names and contact details (company name, telephone number, email, and address) to supply chain management office on the 5th Floor wing A of NHIF Building for any commu­nication, tender clarification or addenda.
6. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Completed tender document to be enclosed in a plain sealed envelope and marked with the tender reference number and be deposited in the Tender Box located at WASREB reception at the NHIF Building, 5th floor wing A or be addressed to:

so as to be received on or before Tuesday,18^th May, 2021 at 11.00am.

7. Bid document will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the bidders or their represen­tatives who choose to attend at WASREB Boardroom on the 5th floor of NHIF. However, bidders or their representatives are requested to consider not attending the tender opening as a measure of cushion­ing the spread of COVID-19 as the tender opening minutes or outcome will be sent to all participating bidders through their email addresses provided in the bid document.
8. The bid document must be accompanied by a Bid Security in form of an unconditional bank guaran­tee of Kenya Shillings Two Hundred Thousand only (Kes.200,000)
