  1. The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of Water and Sanitation Development Project-Conditional Liquidity Support Grant (CLSG) 11, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments of the contracts as indicated above.
  2. Mathira Water and Sanitation Company Limited [MAWASCO) invites sealed Bids from interested eligible bidders for the following tenders;

  1. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated July 2016, revised 5th Edition September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), which can be found in the following website: www.worldbank.org/procurement  and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations
  2. The bidding document in English may be downloaded free of charge from the company’s website www.mawasco.co.ke  or from the public procurement information portal at www.tenders.go.ke . Bidders who download the tender and documents should email their names, contact details and tender number to info@mawasco.co.ke .This will facilitate issuance of notifications or addenda by the Purchaser to the bidders where necessary.
  3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Tender documents during office hours from 8 a.m. -1 p.m. and 2p.m – 4p.m. from Monday to Friday excluding public holidays at the address given below
  4. Completed documents should be sequentially numbered on every page, securely bound, and be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with the tender name and number and addressed to:
