MOMBASA WATER SUPPLY & SANITATION COMPANY LIMITED TENDER MAY 2022 

INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) 

1. The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Water and Sanita- tion Development Project (WSDP) and intends to apply part of the financing proceeds toward payments under this Contract No. KE-MOWASCO-285253-GO-RFB for SUPPLY, DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF LABORA- TORY EQUIPMENT. Bidding will be governed by the World Bank’s eligibility rules and

2. The Mombasa Water Supply & Sanitation Company Limited now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for SUPPLY, DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF LABORATORY

3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non – Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2021, as revised in July 2014, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the In addition, please refer to paragraph 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

Bidders who download the bidding doc- uments are required to notify the purchaser by email: info@mombasawater.co.ke with full contact details that they intend to participate, this will facilitate issuance of notifications by the purchaser to all bidders where necessary. No arrangements have been made for other methods of delivery of bidding documents.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 1100 Hours EAT on the 14th of June, 2022. The packages should be clearly marked Contract No. KE-MOWASCO-285253-GO-RFB for SUPPLY, DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF LABORATORY Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will only be opened in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below 1100 Hours EAT on the 14th of June, 2022 at the company’s boardroom.

7. All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in form of a bank guarantee of 600,000 (Kenya Shillings Six Hundred Thousand only) or equivalent amount in freely convertible currency.
