Supply of Health Products (Parenteral Formulations)

1. The Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) has set aside funds for use in the
procurement of Health Products during the financial year 2023-2024. It is intended that part
of the proceeds of the funds will be used to cover eligible payments under contracts for
Supply of Health Products (Parenteral Formulations).
2. KEMSA now invites sealed bids from eligible Suppliers for the Supply of Health Products
(Parenteral Formulations)
3. Bidding will be conducted through the procedures specified in the Public Procurement and Asset
Disposal Act 2015 (amended) 2022 and is reserved for Local Manufacturers
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Procurement office situated at:

On normal working days on Monday to Friday between 0900hrs and 1600hrs except on Public
Holidays.
5. Interested eligible bidders may download a complete set of tender documents from the KEMSA
Website www.kemsa.co.ke and /or PPIP Portal: https://tenders.go.ke. Documents downloaded are
free of charge and bidders are advised to register at the Procurement Office or via email at
procure@kemsa.co.ke. (Refer to registration form in the tender document)
6. Completed serialized/paginated bidding documents shall be submitted accompanied with a
signed declaration of the number of pages. The documents will be an original and a copy in plain
sealed envelopes clearly marked on top with the Tender Number and description and
accompanied by a Bid security of an amount of KES 760,000.00 or equivalent in a freely
convertible currency from Commercial Banks or Insurance Companies Approved by The
Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) and listed by The Public Procurement Regulatory
Authority and should be addressed to:

And must be deposited in the Tender Box No. 1 marked GOK/ World Bank at the Reception
on the Ground Floor KEMSA’s Commercial Street Office in Nairobi on or before Tuesday, 22nd
August, 2023. Bulky tenders can be handed over to KEMSA Procurement Director’s office for
registration and safe keeping till the tender opening date.
7. Bids will be opened promptly in public on Tuesday 22nd August, 2023 in the presence of
Bidders’ and/ or representatives who choose to attend the opening at KEMSA bids’
opening conference Hall at 10.00 a.m Local time on Tuesday 22nd August, 2023.
8. Bidders MUST submit their TENDER SAMPLE (S) at Procurement Offices,
Commercial Street on or before tender closing date and time.
9. Late bids, portion of bids, Bids not received, bids not opened and not readout in public at the
bid open ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of circumstances.
There will be a pre-bid conference at College of Insurance, South C Nairobi on 8th August 2023
starting 9.00a.m.
