MINISTRY OF EDUCATION TENDER 2021 

NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING (NCB)

1. The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the East Africa for Transformation & Regional Integration Project (EASTRIP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Supply of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Equipment
2. The Ministry of Education, State Department for Vocational and Technical Training now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Supply of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Equipment to the Ministry Headquarters (Jogoo House, Nairobi, Kenya)
3. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” of July, 2016 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Head of Supply Chain Management Services, State Department for Vocational and Technical Training through eastrip@education.go.ke or procurementvtt@gmail.com and inspect the bidding document during office hours [0800 to 1700 hours] at the address given below.
5. The bidding document in English may be obtained by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written applica­tion to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of KES 1000/= in cash or Bankers Cheque in favour of the Principal Secretary, State Department for Vocational and Technical Training at the cash office situated at Jogoo House, 8th Floor; Harambee Avenue road, Nairobi. The bidding document may be collected from the VTT Supply Chain Management office upon production of a purchase receipt. The bidding documents may also be downloaded free of charge from the Ministry’s website: www.education.go.ke Bidders who download the bidding document are requested to inform the Procuring Entity and fully provide their contact details. This will be used in the event of a need to communicate to all the interested bidders
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 11.00 am on 17^th June 2021. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below.
7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security amounting to ksh.100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Only). The bid security must be valid for 28 days beyond the validity date of the tender.
8. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial
