BACKGROUND
Education Development Center (EDC] is a global nonprofit that advances lasting solutions to improve education, promote health, and expand economic opportunity, with a focus on vulnerable and under-served populations. Since 1958, we have been a leader in designing, implementing, and evaluating powerful and innovative programs in more than 80 countries around the world.
EDC was selected by the United States Agency for International Development [USAID] to implement the Kenya Primary Literacy Program [KPLP]. KPLP is a five-year initiative that supports the Kenyan Ministry of Education to deliver interventions at scale as well as pilot and expand innovations that address the language and literacy needs of primary grade learners while building more inclusive, accountable, and resilient education institutions and systems.
EDC-the implementers of KPLP Program, is seeking proposals/quotations from eligible and interested Offerors for the following goods and services:
- i)Provision of Security Guard Services- To provide security guard services in five regional offices located in Kisumu, Eldoret, Nakuru, Nanyuki and Garissa. EDC’s preference is to have one security firm that can provide guard services to all five regional office locations.
- ii)Supply and Delivery of Office Furniture for the Nairobi national Office as well as across five regional offices located in Kisumu, Eldoret, Nakuru, Nanyuki and Garissa. EDC’s preference is to have one furniture firm that can deliver to all five regional office locations.
iii) Provision of Cleaning Services- To provide Cleaning services for the EDC national office as well as the five regional offices located in Kisumu, Eldoret, Nakuru, Nanyuki and Garissa. EDC’s preference is to have one Cleaning firm that can provide Cleaning services to all five regional office locations.

All proposals submitted shall reference the RFP Numbers:
- RFQ NO. 2024-0020 and the title “Supply and Delivery of Office Furniture”
- RFP No. 2024-0022 and the title “Provision of Security Guard Services”
- RFP No. 2024-0023 and the title “Provision of Cleaning Services”
Complete Proposals/Quotations must be submitted as per the dates provided on each RFP/RFQ.
