INVITATION TO TENDER
TENDER FOR  DESIGN, SUPPLY, INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING OF A 2.5 TONNE PER HOUR EUROPEAN MAKE RICE MILL AT KISUMU SILOS.

TENDER N0. NCPB/RICE MILL/KISUMU/22/2022–2023 
1. The NATIONAL CEREALS AND PRODUCE BOARD invites sealed tenders for the provision of services, i.e.
Design, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of a 2.5 Ton per Hour European Make Rice Mill at Kisumu Silos.
2. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive method using a standardized tender document.
Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents
during office hours i.e., 0900 to1500 hours at the Office of the Head of Procurement Services.
4. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenders upon payment of
non-refundable fees of Kshs. 1,000.00 (One thousand shillings) per set via MPESA at the cash office of
National Cereals and Produce Board in Head Office.
5. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded from the NCPB’s website (www.ncpb.co.ke) or PPRA
supplier portal (www.tenders.go.ke) free of charge.
6. Tenderers who download the tender document must forward their particulars immediately to
supplies@ncpb.co.ke or ncpbsupplies@gmail.com before the tender closing date, to facilitate any further
clarification or addendum.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by an Original tender security (Value Kshs. 1,000,000.00) in the form
of Unconditional Bank Guarantee from a reputable bank in Kenya and valid for 120 days from the date of
tender opening.
8. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
9. Completed tender document shall be enclosed in a plain sealed envelope and marked “DESIGN, SUPPLY,
INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING OF A 2.5 TON PER HOUR EUROPEAN MAKE RICE MILL AT
KISUMU SILOS. Tender No. NCPB/RICE MILL/KISUMU/22/2022–2023”, and deposited in the Tender box
situated at Nafaka House, Ground Floor, by the Main Entrance or delivered to the address below on or before
THURSDAY 20
th APRIL, 2023 at 12:00 noon. ELECTRONICTENDERSWILL NOT BE PERMITTED.
Bulky or large bid documents which cannot fit through the slot of the Tender Box must be delivered to the Office
of the Head of Procurement Services situated on the Ground floor of the above address.
10. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any deadline
date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated
representatives who choose to attend at the NCPB GILFILLAN HALL.
9. Late tenders will be rejected.
