INVITATION TO TENDER
TENDER FOR DISPOSAL OF VEHICLES, SCRAP METALS, OFFICE FURNITURE AND OTHER ITEMS
TENDER NO. NCPB/DISPOSAL/20/2022-2023
1. The National Cereals and Produce Board now invites sealed tenders from eligible candidates to purchase the
items detailed below earmarked for disposal at NCPB Migori and others in Head Office.
2. Interested eligible candidates may obtain further information and inspect the goods to be sold from Regional
Office at NCPB Nakuru and the office of the Head of Procurement Services located on the ground floor Door
no. G48 at National Cereals and Produce Board Headquarters, Machakos Road from MONDAY TO FRIDAY
(BETWEEN 0800 HOURS AND 1600 HOURS) except on public holidays and weekends. Items will be sold
as they are, without any encumbrances.
3. A complete set of tender document may be purchased or obtained by interested tenders upon payment of a
non- refundable fees of Kshs 1,000 via MPESA and payable to the address given below. Tender documents
may be obtained electronically from the Website(s) www.ncpb.co.ke or PPRA portal www.tenders.go.ke.
Tender document obtained electronically will be free of charge.
4. Tenderers will be required to pay in advance a refundable 10% deposit of their total quote as indicated in the
Appendix to Instructions to tenderers.
5. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 20th April, 2023 at 12.00 noon.
ElectronicTenderswill not be permitted.
6. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the NCPB’s website (www.ncpb.co.ke) or
PPRA portal supplier portal (www.tenders.go.ke) free of charge. Tenderers who download the tender
document must forward their particulars immediately to NATIONAL CEREALS AND PRODUCE BOARD
to facilitate any further clarification or addendum to supplies@ncpb.co.ke or ncpbsupplies@gmail.com before
the tender closing date.
7. Bidders are advised to regularly visit the NCPB website to obtain any additional information/addendum on the
tender. All addenda/additional information on the tender shall be posted on the NCPB website as they become
available. Bidders are therefore encouraged to check the website at all times during the bidding period to avoid
missing out on instructions.
8. Tenders shall be quoted be in Kenya Shillings and shall include all taxes. Tenders shall remain valid for 120
days from the date of opening of tenders.
9. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any deadline date and
time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated
representatives who choose to attend at the address below.

11. Bulky tenders shall be submitted at the office of Head of Procurement Services located on the ground floor
of NCPB Headquarters, Nyumba ya Nafaka, Door no. G48 AT 12.00NOON ON 20TH April, 2023.
12. The Tenderer shall chronologically and sequentially serialize all pages in a numerical format 1,2,3,4,5…….
Including the cover page of the tender documents submitted.
13. All Tenderers MUST submit one original and one copy of the original, properly filled in, and enclosed in
one plain envelope and delivered to the address below.
14. Tenders will be closed and opened on 20th April, 2023 at 12.00 noon. Tenders will opened publicly in the
presence of the Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend.
15. Late Tenders, incomplete Tenders, Tenders not opened at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted
for evaluation.
16. Canvassing or lobbying for the tender shall lead to automatic disqualification
