Opportunity

The African Biodigester Component [ABC] in Kenya aims at facilitating a shift of the biodigester market from its pioneering to the expansion phase. The project focuses on both small scale (0 to 50m3] and medium scale (50 to 500m3] biodigester market segments.

Effective knowledge management and capacity building are vital for the success and sustainability of any cooperation and development project. It is crucial to systematically capture, share, and utilize knowledge at all levels, while simultaneously implementing capacity-building initiatives to leverage this knowledge and develop skills, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

In this regard, the African Biodigester Component [ABC] in Kenya is seeking to recruit a Short-Term Knowledge Management and Capacity Building Consultant with expertise in bioenergy, renewable energy, communication, marketing or capacity building to support the project’s knowledge creation and capacity building initiatives.

Target Individual

This opportunity targets Kenyan individuals with a bachelor’s degree in communication, project management, marketing, energy, agriculture, rural development, or another relevant field. Applicants shall have a at least 5 years work experience in market-based energy access, especially in awareness raising, communication, knowledge creation, dissemination and capacity building adapted to the Kenyan context. Experience in sales and marketing as well as capacity building is an added advantage as well as work experience or association with GIZ or a development agency or programme.
