INVITATION TO TENDER 

TENDER FOR PROVISION OF FULL BOARD ACCOMMODATION AND DAY CONFERENCE FACILITIES ON “AS AND WHEN REQUIRED”- BASIS (FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT)

1. The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) intends to prequalify Service Providers for
Provision of Full Board accommodation and day conference facilities on “As and When Required”- basis
(Framework Agreement)
2. Tendering will be conducted through national competitive tendering procedures using a
standardized tender document and will be open to all applicants who qualify. Tenders will
be awarded on basis of a Framework Agreement
3. Qualified and interested applicants may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
Document during office hours 0900 to 1500 hours at the address given below.
4. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenders
upon payment of a non- refundable fees of KES1,000.00 in cash or Banker’s Cheque and
payable to the address given below. Tender documents obtained electronically will be free
of charge Prequalification Document may be viewed and downloaded for free from the
website https://www.tenders.go.ke or www.knbs.or.ke. Applicants who download the
Prequalification Document must forward their particulars immediately to
procurement@knbs.or.ke to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
5. Completed tender documents should be submitted by postal service, or hand/courier
delivery, clearly marked envelopes and delivered to the address given below by 10.00 am
on 8th October, 2024. Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.
6. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any
deadline date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the
Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
7. Late applications a reliable to be rejected.
8. The number of service providers shall not be less than seven alternative vendors.
9. The duration of this framework agreement shall not exceed (3) three years from the date of
contract signing.
10. This Framework agreement will remain a closed panel during the contract period. The
constitution of the panel will remain unchanged during the term of the Framework Agreement
(other than firms being removed from the panel, no additional or replacement firms may be
added).

11. The client does not guarantee the successful service providers under the Framework Agreement of
being awarded a contract and no commitment is made with regard to possible volume of services
to be procured.
12. This Framework Agreement is not an exclusive agreement and the Procuring Entity reserves the
right to procure similar services from other firms not necessarily within the Framework
Agreement
