INVITATION TO TENDER
TENDER FOR PROVISION OF GENERAL INSURANCE SERVICES

1. Chemelil Sugar Company Limited invites sealed tenders for PROVISION OF GENERAL
INSURANCE SERVICES
2. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive tendering method using a standardized tender
document and is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers. Tenderers will be allowed to tender for
one or more items.
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
Documents during office hours at the Supply Chain Manager’s Office at Chemelil Sugar Company
Limited during normal working hours. It may also be downloaded from the Public Procurement
Information Portal at www.tenders.go.ke or the Government website at www.mygov.go.ke or from our
website www.chemsugar.co.ke./corporate documents free of charge or obtain a set of each hard copy
upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1,000.00 payable to Chemelil Sugar Company Ltd either
in cash or bankers cheque. More details on the Services are provided in PART 2 – Services’
Requirements, Section V – Description of Services of the Tender Document.
4. Tenderers who download the tender document must forward their particulars immediately to the

facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
5. All Tenders must be accompanied by a a “Tender Security” of Kshs 400,000.00 (Four Hundred
Thousand Kenya Shillings Only)” in the format provided in the tender document (AGPO Category
exempted)
6. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
7. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 10.00 a.m. on Friday 4th
October, 2024. Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.
8. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any deadline date
and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated
representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
9. Late tenders will be rejected.
