INVITATION TO TENDER
TENDER NO. JUD/OT/003/2022-2023:
PROVISION OF MEDICAL INSURANCE COVER FOR MEMBERS OF THE JUDICIARY OF KENYA
The Judiciary of Kenya invites sealed bids from eligible Medical Insurance Providers (MIPs) for
the Provision of Outpatient and Inpatient Medical Insurance Cover for members of the Judiciary.
They will work jointly with an Underwriter of their choice for the Provision of the Inpatient Medical
Cover. The medical insurance cover is for an initial period of one (1) year renewable annually for
a further two (2) years subject to satisfactory performance. Interested candidates may view /
obtain the tender document by downloading it from the Judiciary’s website: www.judiciary.go.ke or
the Public Procurement information Portal (PPIP) website: www.tenders.go.ke.
There will be a Virtual Pre-Bid Conference on Friday 26th August 2022 at 10.00am or as may be

All eligible and interested bidders are encouraged to attend.
All the Clarifications and/or addendums will be posted on the Judiciary Website and the Public Procurement
information Portal (PPIP) website: www.tenders.go.ke. Any request for clarifications must be made in writing
at least five (5 No.) days to the closing date of the tender.
Prices quoted should include an Insured inpatient medical cover and an Outpatient Administration Fee.
The Judiciary shall directly pay the Premiums to the Underwriter. The prices should also be net inclusive
of all taxes and must be expressed in Kenya Shillings and shall remain valid for 120 days from the closing date
of the tender. Tenders must also be accompanied by a tender security of Ksh. 10,000,000 from a bank or
reputable insurance company approved by the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority, payable to the Chief
Registrar of the Judiciary.
Completed tender documents should be clearly marked JUD/OT/003/2022-2023: PROVISION OF
MEDICAL INSURANCE COVER FOR MEMBERS OF THE JUDICIARY and be deposited in the
tender box situated at the Supreme Court Building security gate, City Hall Way, to be received on or before
10.00am on Tuesday 6th September, 2022.
Tenders will be opened ON Tuesday 6th September, 2022 Bidders may wish to attend the opening
VIRTUALLY.
