INVITATION TO TENDER (ITT)
TENDER NO. MUT/ 01/2022-2023
TENDER FOR PROVISION OF SECURITY SERVICES IN THE UNIVERSITY
MUT invites sealed tenders from eligible candidates for Provision of Insurance Services for the
University for a period of 12 months with an option of renewal subject to Satisfactory
Performance at the discretion of the University.
1. Interested and eligible candidates may inspect Tender documents from the University’s
Procurement Department at the MUT Main campus. Bidders may download documents from
our website: www.mut.ac.ke or the Public Procurement Information Portal: www.tender.go.ke
free of charge.
2. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive tendering method using a
standardized tender document and is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
3. Tendering is open to all Special Groups Enterprises registered appropriately with valid
AGPO certificates.
4. The Tender Security shall be Ksh 100,000.00 valid for 140 days.
5. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
Documents during office hours at the address given below.
6. The tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
7. Completed tender documents must be delivered to the address below on the or before 3rd
June 2022 at 10.00 AM. Electronic Tenders shall not be permitted.
8. Prices quoted should be net inclusive of all taxes and delivery costs, must be expressed in
Kenya shillings and shall remain valid for period of (180) days from the closing date of the
tender.
9. Tender documents will be opened immediately after closing, in the presence of Bidders or
their representatives who choose to attend the opening session at the Assembly Hall. Any
canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification of the bidder.
10. Late tenders will be rejected.
11. Sealed and duly completed Bids in plain envelopes clearly marked the “Tender
Number/Registration No and Description” without identifying the Tenderer should be
