Save the children International (Uganda Country Office) seeks quotations from registered and experienced Gala goat breeders within the East African region.
Overview of the assignment
Save the Children International (Uganda Country Office) has received funding from the Korean government under phase 2 of the Karamoja Goats project. Part of the funds have been put towards the acquisition of 1,730 breeding female Gala goats (Does). The requirement is for the goats to be provided by a registered breeder(s) with a clear and verifiable breeding history of livestock specifically Gala goats and can provide all the pedigree and heard health information pertaining to the goats. Breeder registration must be with a recognized & regulated breeding association from the country of origin. The goats shall be delivered to the last mile and shall originate from regions with similar climatic conditions as those of the Karamoja region of Uganda.

A non-refundable fee of Ksh 3,520/= must be paid to Save the Children International, to its Standard Chartered Bank, Kenya account in the name of: Save the Children International, Account Number 0108021671100. Proof of payment MUST be attached to bidder’s submissions clearly indicating the name and/or mobile number used if Mpesa is used. Kindly note that without proof of payment, no Bid document shall be received/evaluated on submission.
Clearly labeled and sealed bids marked “Invitation To Tender for the Supply & Delivery of 1,730 breeding Gala goats (Does)” must be delivered by hand and registered at the Supply Chain Bid Box to the address below on or before Monday 18th November, 2024 by 11:00am (EAT).
NB: Late bids shall be rejected.
